Ref. Casa Lidia - If you are looking for a flat that encapsulates all the typicality of Sicily, casa Lidia is the right house for you.
Located in the centre of Porticello, a small fishing village just over 10 km from Palermo, casa Lidia offers everything a foreigner would expect from Sicily.

Porticello is a beautiful and typical Sicilian seaside village where time has stood still.
The sea and the fishermen's port frame the small streets, the small squares nestled between ancient palazzos, the shops with their fruit and fish stalls smiling at you every morning, the smell of fresh bread, the old people sitting on the benches chatting.

The town has a station (Santa Flavia) less than 2 km from the centre that can take you to Palermo in a few minutes or to Trapani in about 1 hour or to Catania in less than 2 hours.
Palermo airport can be reached in just under 1 hour while the beautiful beaches of the east coast of Sicily (Noto, Marzamemi, Siracusa) are just over 2 hours away.

The House

Casa Lidia is located right in front of the fishermen's port.
The 3-storey building is in good condition, the facades do not need painting.
The property is located on the second and third floor of the building.
The house on the first floor is currently uninhabited.
It is accessed from a beautiful and characteristic small square.

The current distribution of the house has the sleeping area on the second floor and the living area on the third.

Once up the stairs and onto the second floor a small hallway leads to a large balcony bedroom. The view is right on the square but from the right side of the balcony you can admire the splendid view of the 'marina'.

In the large room there is also a storage room which could be used as a second bathroom.
Continuing along the room, one can find on the right-hand side a door giving access to another large bedroom.

On the third floor one can instead find a kitchen, a dining room, a bathroom, a small bedroom and a beautiful terrace with a splendid view of the sea.
The entire Gulf of Solunto is clearly visible as well as the fishermen's port.

The property is currently inhabited, however, a renovation would greatly enhance the beauty of the house. The layout of the interior spaces could also be revised to make the house more functional.

Nevertheless, if desired, the property could be inhabited without any problems in its present condition.
