Description

Set over two light-filled floors, this spacious three-bedroom flat near Seven Sisters offers calm and considered interiors and a private south-facing terrace and garden to enjoy.

Brickworks Says - Off the main drag of buzzy Seven Sisters Road, on a quiet residential street, this handsome first-floor maisonette is deceptively large. The classic Edwardian facade immediately draws you in, while the private front door brings extra convenience and security. And because it's purpose-built, the proportions are not compromised in the way some conversions can be –– the layout is functional with a lovely open flow.

Double doors open onto the main living space at the back from the top of the staircase that leads from the entrance. There is a cosy sitting area with a wood burner leading to the kitchen and dining area. With windows facing south, the space is flooded with light, and the outside terrace provides the perfect spot for breakfast or a sundowner.

At the front of the home, on the split-level landing, there is a main bathroom with a freestanding bath and two bedrooms. Both are comfortable doubles. Continuing up the next flight of stairs, you see the loft has been converted into one large principal bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Packed with built-in storage and benefiting from some of the best views in the flat, it's a calming and relaxing refuge.

Heysham Road sits between four great neighbours: Stoke Newington, Stamford Hill, Harringay Green Lanes, and Tottenham. Each of them you could call home, and each is easily accessible, offering an incredible mix of places to explore. Plus, you get various transport links to whisk you into town, putting the rest of the capital (and beyond) within reach.

The Owners Say - We will miss this home so much! We will miss the sunrise and sunset when the living room has an orange glow. We will miss our lunchtime strolls around Paignton Park and our breakfasts on the terrace. We will miss the study, with its view over Manchester Gardens - the perfect haven for a productive day of work.

We couldn’t have asked for more by way of location: Manor House and Seven Sisters stations are a short walk away. We have always felt close to nature, with Finsbury and Clissold Parks and the two beautiful reservoirs on our doorstep.

We have been spoiled on the food front too; Milk (over the road in the warehouse district) does the best coffee, a new Brazilian bakery on Seven Sisters Road offers fresh cake and bread every morning, and we have made the most of the amazing Turkish restaurants on Green Lanes. Gurbet deserves a mention too: two minutes away, open 24/7, with a freshly baked goods section.

Finally, we will miss the amazing community spirit: many people on the street have lived here for years. Everyone looks out for each other, and there’s communal gardening and even a Heysham Road herb patch. Our co-freeholder and good friend lives at number 8, which is the downstairs flat. These neighbours and those to our left and right have been incredibly kind to us and helpful on many occasions over the years.

Recent work:
Headline items include a brand-new kitchen and hardwood floor in the living room/kitchen, spotlights fitted in the ceiling and a new window and door leading to the garden. Most of the flat has been re-plastered and features bespoke carpentry, including cupboards in the first-floor bedroom and in the principal loft bedroom. The storage space includes drawers built into what was previously inaccessible eaves and a bespoke pull-out section for hanging clothes.

Getting around:
If you want a spot that’s incredibly well-connected for getting around London, then this is it! It’s just a short stroll to Manor House (Piccadilly Line), Seven Sisters (Victoria Line), Stamford Hill (Overground) and South Tottenham (another Overground), so you’re able to access much of the city with speed and ease.

Future plans:
The owners are moving out of London and are selling chain-free.

Anything else:
Being a purpose-built maisonette, the flat has its own front door.
