The walled Garden is situated in the small village of Much Birch about 5 miles south of Hereford. Hereford has all the expected shops, services and amenities of an important county town whilst the other major centres are Ross-on-Wye (9½ miles) and Monmouth (11 miles). There are primary schools and a Steiner school close by, and a doctors surgery in the village.
