Shrewsbury is approximately six miles away, where there are a number of high street and independent shops and schools in the private and state sector.
The A5 is approximately five miles away which provides onward travel to the East and West, whilst the A49 is about 1.5 miles, taking you to the South and Church Stretton.

Prospective purchasers of the house may wish to consider the second income potential associated with the purchase of an additional piece of land of 0.84 acres, just across the lane from The Rope Walk. The site plan of Lot 2 is shown as the final Gallery photograph.

The Rope Walk is an extremely charming country house, which has been updated by the current owners, offering a beautiful home which has outstanding views and offers in plenty of natural light. The original part of the house dates back to the 17th century, with later additions and there are many wonderful features including exposed beams and the original pantry. There is gas central heating throughout, part underfloor.
The accommodation is laid out over two floors, with lovely spacious rooms including a sitting room with a gas fire and the dining room with a gas fire and original alcoves on either side of the fireplace with deep cupboards underneath. There is a study/gym off an inner hallway which also leads to the pantry and storage room which has quarry tiled flooring.
The fabulous kitchen breakfast room, has porcelain tiled flooring, two sets of French doors leading outside to a pretty courtyard, wall and base units, an integrated gas fire, a central island and Corian worktops. There is an integrated larder fridge and dishwasher. The utility room is just off the kitchen with a WC.

The drawing room is a fabulous space, with beautiful views towards the Shropshire Hills. There is a tiled fireplace with a multifuel burner and French doors leading out to the raised terrace. This room offers a wonderful feel of space and light and the garden room leads off, which has lovely views over the very colourful garden. There is a further study/bedroom five, with a WC.
A spiral staircase leads from the drawing room up to the conservatory viewing gallery and the adjoining principal bedroom suite. Here the French doors open onto a balcony giving breathtaking views to the South. This is such a special place. There are fitted wardrobes, an en-suite shower room, eaves storage cupboard and a further door which leads into a dressing area and the main landing.
Bedroom two is a double, and has dual aspect views towards Shrewsbury. The landing area off, has a large built in linen cupboard. There is a family bathroom with a separate bath and shower, and two further double bedrooms, both with built in mirrored wardrobes, original fireplaces and lovely views.

Outside

The traditional front door opens into the beautiful gardens with planted colourful beds, laid to lawn, a very old lilac tree, a central wildlife pond with water lilies and a summer house. There is a wicket gate leading out onto the bridleways and footpaths of Lyth Hill. A raised terrace to the side of the house provides a fabulous private space. There is a traditional old ‘privy’ outhouse converted into a gardening hut, workshop and garden shed. Clematis, wisteria and rose climb the traditional walls of the courtyard garden, adding beautiful colour and scent. There is gated parking for several vehicles.

LOT 2
