The village of Buckfast sits with the boundary of Dartmoor National Park, and has a Post Office and general stores, as well as a Public House, Primary School and the well renowned Buckfast Abbey. The A38 Devon Expressway is close by providing access to Plymouth, Exeter and the M5 motorway. The Elizabethan town of Totnes, approximately 7 miles away, has a weekly market and a major supermarket, as well as a number of other cultural, recreational and sporting pursuits. Dartmoor National Park is within easy reach of Buckfast, and the coast is about a 45-minute drive.
