Description
The flat is close to the main road, but the building is very quiet and is housed in a secure complex. The insulation is excellent, which helps to keep the energy bills low. We have a spacious fitted kitchen with plenty of room for cooking and storage. The large living room / dining room is really versatile and can be divided into two distinct spaces or used as one generous room for parties. It also has a balcony, which looks out over the leafy central square of the Quadrangle with enough space for chairs and a table. Beyond this, the flat has a good-sized bathroom and two ample bedrooms with built-in wardrobes. Beneath the undercroft, there is a parking space which will shelter a car from all weathers. The building also has a bike store and residents enjoy access to the rooftop terrace, which is great for summer parties. This area is shared with the other residents of Shale Court, a friendly, supportive community which includes many people who have lived in the complex for years.
Owners comments:
What do I love about the area? Everything is close by. Great transport links, including the Elizabeth Line, the Central line, the Jubilee Line, the DLR and the Overground. West Ham Park, which is just a five-minute walk from Shale Court, is a large and attractive space. This is great for leisurely evening strolls, running, and playing sports, including tennis. Atherton Leisure Centre is close by and offers a swimming pool, an affordable gym and a range of classes. There is also a great cycling route from Stratford to Walthamstow through Hackney Marshes, which is one of my favourites. We have a lot of choice for shopping, including a Sainsbury’s Local, a Tesco Express and a large Morrisons just around the corner. We also have the Stratford and Westfield shopping centres, which offer a mixture of independent and major stores, cafes, bars, restaurants and Gymbox. You can see the latest films at Stratford Picturehouse or at Vue and watch a play at the Theatre Royal. The Olympic stadium hosts major events and the surrounding park is a great location for meeting friends, picnicking and enjoying a range of sports.
