Description

“I fell in love with this house as soon as I walked in. It has always felt like a sanctuary to me. The location is incredible, the neighbours have been wonderful and the house itself was so great for having friends round and just relaxing. As I work from home, it was really lovely to have a space that I could close off at the end of the day, too. Also, for running and dog walking, you have the harbour and Victoria Park really close, not to mention Leigh Woods and Ashton Court. Popping to Wapping Wharf is so easy and having the M Shed and Arnolfini so nearby is absolutely incredible if you have little children.”

Alpha Road is a quiet residential street situated in the heart of Southville, very close to the bridge across the River Avon to the Wapping Wharf area which is bursting with independent restaurants and cafes from its cargo containers. North Street in Southville is very nearby and is home a number of popular bars and eateries such as The Malago, the popular Souk Kitchen, Kask as well as highly regarded cafes such as Sweven and Albatross Cafe. Further still is a short walk to Bristol City Centre and for those who work in the city, the commute by foot or bike is short and painless, whilst the journey home after an evening in a city is also straightforward and advantageous on foot rather than negotiating city centre traffic. Over the river to the west is the high-end development ‘The General’ with Michelin star restaurants Paco Tapas. Beyond these is Bristol’s scenic harbourside with its boat trips and water-facing bars and restaurants.

A charming three bedroom semi-detached home situated on Alpha Road in Southville with off street parking and no onward chain. On entry, you are welcomed by a spacious open hallway with the staircase immediately to your left and a door beneath the stairs leading to the basement room. The solid wood floorboards lead you into the open plan living space. Located at the front is the stylish living room with a large window overlooking the mature front gardens. The lounge enjoys the log burner and and abundance of natural light filling the room from the front and back of the property. Open to the living room is the incredibly stylish kitchen and breakfast bar with in-built storage. The kitchen includes marble style granite worktops, a contrast of both white and grey matte units, brass handles/tap and integrated appliances such as an induction hob, double oven and dishwasher. There is a dining area next to the kitchen with a large window overlooking the peaceful garden. Lastly, there are double doors leading to a useful storage area with a skylight. To the right is a WC and to the left is the third bedroom/study. Outside, the garden is a great size for a growing family offering both lawn and patio for seating. There is also raised flowerbeds to add a pop of colour in the Spring/Summer months.

As you walk up to the first floor, you are greeted by a spacious landing and a charming window and skylights brightening up the hallway. From here you can access both double bedrooms each with built-in-wardrobes. The family sized bathroom has been tiled throughout and includes a shower over bath and heated towel rail.
