Description

This charming, detached 1950s bungalow – in the same ownership since it was built – enjoys a wonderful position at the corner of Ashby Road, a peaceful residential area. Nestled away, yet within a short walk of local shops and bus service, the property boasts a convenient location and is set in a beautiful, mature plot.

Extended to the rear, the accommodation comprises an entrance hallway, three generous bedrooms – the master bedroom, accessed from the rear hallway offers an ensuite and direct access to the delightful patio area and garden beyond. A family bathroom serves the 2 other bedrooms. The spacious dual aspect sitting room features an open fireplace. A good size kitchen leads to a separate dual aspect dining room which benefits from large windows bathing it in natural light and a view of the tranquil garden, accessed via patio doors. The large loft with ample storage space benefits from Velux windows to both sides.

The property boasts a longer than average double garage complete with inspection pit, and a spacious utility room is located just behind. The broad frontage enjoys a high degree of privacy, with the driveway providing parking for a number of vehicles. The mature rear garden is an excellent size with extensive borders, and is partially laid to lawn, with 2 patio areas. One delightful aspect is the particularly secluded second part of the garden, providing a tranquil haven and featuring a summer house, greenhouse and shed.

This attractive property also offers excellent potential, with scope to remodel or extend further, subject to obtaining the necessary planning consents.

The property is offered for sale with no onward chain.
