It is within a short distance to the Market Towns of Horncastle, Spilsby and Louth by car and their mix of amenities including retail, leisure and commercial facilities.The village is located in the Lincolnshire Wolds which is designated an “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty”.Alfred, Lord Tennyson, Poet Laureate was born and brought up in Somersby and many topics in his poems are based on the area including “Babbling Brook”.
