Description

Lovely two bedroom flat for sale in Upper Leytonstone, located just moments from the tube station. With off-street parking for two cars, a large tanked basement and private garden, this property offers spacious living and beautiful oak flooring throughout.

The flat occupies the ground floor of an attractive white-painted property, with privacy provided by the large driveway which creates a great sense of space from the road. Entering through the main front door and straight into a good-sized lobby, the door straight ahead leads into the flat itself.

The hallway introduces you to the flat’s stunning solid oak flooring, and the first door to the right leads you into the charming living room. A good sized space, brightened by the large bay window, it offers a painted feature recess and plenty of room for your chosen furniture.

Back to the hallway and the next room is bedroom one, a great sized double with views over the side garden and light decor – a lovely airy space ready to settle right into.

In the hallway again and a little turn to your left reveals a door behind you, which leads into an ample cellar space offering exceptional, damp-proof storage potential.

Next, the hallway leads to the bathroom on your right. A brightly finished space with sink, W.C. and bath with shower fitting above, it also features a mirrored above-basin cabinet with light, and an, attractively patterned black and white tiled floor.

Lying straight next to the bathroom is bedroom two, another room capable of accommodating a double bed, or alternatively it could be the perfect space to configure as a nursery/child’s bedroom.

Finally, laying to the rear of the property is the kitchen – fully fitted with a range of black base and wall cabinets with gorgeous brass handles, finished with solid oak work surfaces to complement the floor, and a wall of feature patterned tiles to lighten the effect of the dark units. An integrated oven and hob are in place and there’s room for your washing machine and fridge freezer. You’ll also note the rear door, giving you direct access to your private portion of the garden, featuring both a concreted and lawned area – along with a private and spacious side-return, which you can also access through your own gate next to the property’s facade.

With central heating throughout, this two bedroom flat provides a great opportunity for a single professional, couple or small family, and offers plenty in terms of location too. Situated in vibrant and popular Upper Leytonstone, you have everything you need on your doorstep plus excellent transport links. Leytonstone Central Line Underground station is just a few minute’s stroll, as is Leytonstone High Road with its huge array of shops, bars and restaurants, including the The Wild Goose Bakery, Bocca Bocca, Homies on Donkeys and the highly rated North Star Pub which lies in the nearby conservation area of Bushwood. Whilst a couple of stops away is the cultural hub of Stratford with Westfield shopping centre and the soon to be opened V&A East and Sadlers Wells East. Some of London’s best green spaces are also close by, including Hollow Pond, Wanstead Flats and Hackney Marshes.

Sellers comments

We have loved living in this flat for the last four years. Leytonstone has a real community feel and since living in London we have never known our neighbours as well as we do here. After purchasing the flat we lovingly renovated the interior with an aim to restore a period feel to the property. The flat has so many great qualities including high ceilings in the light-filled living room and bedroom. As well as amazing storage in the basement. Having two parking spaces and a driveway has really felt like a luxury. We also enjoy looking out over the mature, leafy back garden and seeing a vast array of wildlife. The local high street and surrounding area has been incredibly convenient, particularly with a young family. Whilst the rest of London is literally on your doorstep via the conveniently located Central line. We hope any future owners will enjoy living here as much as we have.
