There is a village library, a lovely and ancient Anglican church, primary school, leisure centre, tennis club etc. Henfield is self-sufficient in most areas with its own medical centre, dentist, hairdressers, ironmongers etc. The nearest railway station is at Hassocks about 7.5 miles (mainline services into London Bridge and Victoria from about an hour) Brighton city centre and the coast are approximately 20 minutes drive. Gatwick and the M25 are within about 35 minutes. Henfield has a disused railway line offering wonderful walking, running and cycling within easy reach of the house. The South Downs National Park is not far from the edge of Henfield with access to numerous Downland treks.
