Description

The Orchard is a beautifully designed home situated on one of Peppard Commons loveliest roads, with open fields to the front and the amenities of the village a short walk away. The property was originally built in the 1930s and in 2014, as extended, renovated and fully refurbished to create a stylish and contemporary home. It has been fully rewired, re-plumbed and has a new roof. Internally it is wonderfully bright and modern, and is fantastically well equipped for entertaining as well as everyday family life. Outside, the gardens are professionally landscaped and well established, with a huge variety of trees and shrubs giving a wonderfully green aspect and making the plot feel very private. There’s also ample parking and a detached garage and double car port. The Scandinavian style decor is complemented by the fantastic natural light throughout the home, with pale, neutral tone walls and natural materials like slate and oak floors. The fixtures and fittings are high quality and designed to blend unobtrusively. There is a well equipped sleek and minimalist handle-less kitchen, matching abinetry in the laundry room and built-in desk and shelving in the home office. The airy feel is helped by the excellent flow of the accommodation, which is partly open plan. There is a clever use of glazing with tall, aluminium windows with slim frames, and skylights in the kitchen and on first-floor landing. The windows frame lovely views over the rear garden and countryside to the front. A grand but understated home that is ready to move into. The ground floor is well equipped for family life. At the heart of the home in the kitchen, which opens onto the garden via full width floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. On one side of the kitchen is the semi open plan lounge with a wood-burning stove. On the other side of the kitchen are double doors leading to the Study/Playroom and a further door leading to the Laundry Room. There are also two separate reception rooms at the front of the house, making it possible to have one for formal entertaining and another for relaxed family time. Upstairs, the principal bedroom is a highlight with its walk-in wardrobe area and en suite bath/shower room. There are two further en suite bedrooms which would be suitable for older children or visiting guests. The two remaining bedrooms share a family bathroom.

Outside

The Orchard has an impressive frontage, with a wide gravel driveway leading up to an expansive parking area with pace for a number of cars. There is a detached garage and double car port, providing covered parking and useful storage. The front garden is lawned with a stone paved path with steps leading to the front door, flanked by a series of attractive flower beds. The covered front seating areas are accessible from the reception rooms, and offer places to sit and soak up the scenery. The rear garden has been beautifully landscaped and comprises an expansive terrace to the rear, a stunning water feature and a huge variety of plants contained within the flowerbeds and borders, and feature Hornbeam hedges. The manicured lawns lead to a wildflower area at the rear, and there is a detached home office/studio which could be used as a gym, study or for hobbies.
