Entering the apartment across the generous balcony, we find ourselves in the main living space, with its fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of room to create the ideal living area for your family or guests. Add a long wooden table near the picture windows for airy dining with a view, and throw in a big squashy sofa for curling up cosily before the soapstone log burner to catch up on reading or relax in front of the television. In the summer months, the doors can be opened wide to let in the fresh mountain air, and allow access onto the balcony, perfect for morning tea or a little sundowner.
Just off the sitting room, the first bedroom is a generous double room, with handmade cupboards and drawers providing useful storage and making the perfect niche for a double bed. There is room to create an office or reading corner here too.
Moving through the apartment, there are two further bedrooms in the same style. The first is, again, a good-sized double room with handmade storage units and a lovely ensuite shower room. The third bedroom offers the possibility of many different configurations – already kitted out with two hand-crafted cabin beds, the space underneath could, for example, accommodate additional beds, (a couple of singles or a double), be used as play or lounging space, or could be fitted with desks for study or computer work. In terms of additional storage, the apartment benefits from the use of a well-appointed (shared) cave with allotted spaces for skis and other equipment, and a ski boot warmer. The apartment has private covered parking, and use of a small garden area.
Nestled in a friendly, sunny hamlet in Montriond, Le Telemarka is also just a short walk from the nearest bus stop for access to the slopes and the beautiful Lac de Montriond, and is also only 4km from Morzine town centre and all its amenities.
