This property dates back to 14th Century. It was restored in 2003/4 by a local specialist, building company.

During the reconstruction, the craftsmen sympathetically restored materials and features, to recreate this beautiful property.

CARUNCHIO - CHIETI PROVINCE

This incredible town has, in the past, been acclaimed as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy. It has a population of 618 and is 607 metres above sea level. The surrounding landscape is stunning with views to the Majella Mountains and National Park to the Gargano promontory in Apulia.

The church of San Giovanni Battista is at the highest point of the town, and from it, the medieval buildings and houses cascade down the hillside. It is a lovely settlement to explore and the best way to discover its treasures is by walking through the ancient streets and alleys.

The town has good facilities including post offices, cash machine, pharmacy, restaurants, bars, butcher, baker and two general stores. The area is renowned for its delicious cuisine and a wide range of high quality wines.
