Description

Having undergone a considerable makeover, this two-bedroom house in a Tottenham conservation area has bountiful character thanks to colourful flair and fine features.

Brickworks Says - Part of the historical Tower Gardens conservation area, the world’s first ‘urban garden suburb’, this two-bedroom house has been treated with loving care by the current owners, who have given it a renewed lease of life. The attention devoted to restoring original details is clear as soon as you spy the elegant front door and cast iron fireplaces. But it’s not just character that the house enjoys but also modern convenience, from the handy shutters in the living room to sleek white kitchen and bi-fold doors that open onto the charming garden.

The living space has some versatile corners (we are big fans of the seating area overlooking the garden) and a palette of deep tones creating richness and warmth. Upstairs, you’ll find two well-proportioned bedrooms and enough in-built storage for anyone who likes a place for everything. The spa-sized bathroom deserves a special mention, particularly the beautiful tiles and free-standing bath that’ll make it a room you won’t want to leave.

Waltheof Avenue is in a unique area of Tottenham, noted for its remarkable Edwardian architecture, community atmosphere, and even its own park. Beyond the conservation area the rest of this corner of North London is growing ever more popular, and you can see why. With lively pubs, great eateries and green spaces aplenty (you can’t get much closer to Lordship Rec!) as well as being handily positioned to enjoy the perks of nearby Stoke Newington and Seven Sisters.

The Owners Say - We had the pleasure of buying No 25 as our first home. It needed a lot of TLC to turn it into the place you see today. We worked hard to try and bring back to life the period charm and to give it a comfortable and homely feel. In our five years here it has been full of love and laughter.

The area of N17 is full of wonderful people from all walks of life. As an area, it is a safe and friendly place to live and spend time. One of our favourite parts is Lordship Recreation Ground, just a 30-second walk from the front door, our dog Frank loves going for runs around the field and woodlands! We have loved living here, but now it's time to pass on the chance for someone to enjoy it as much as we have.
