Description

From time to time a home is listed for sale that captures the attention of the market.

For me so far in 2023, this is that home.

Standing at an impressive 4048sq ft and having undergone a large-scale renovation I think you will be hard pushed to find one better.

When describing a home, I’m not usually lost for words but there are so many superlatives I could use here and I’m not sure any of them would fully do this house justice.

When pulling up the first thing you will notice is the electric gate which assures privacy and security. Once you enter the driveway you can see how much space is on offer in the plot, the range of parking and the quadruple garage. The garage has planning permission to be transformed into a separate dwelling if that’s something that would interest you. This may be of particular interest to families that live co-generationally.

Equally, if you felt the need this could become a home gym or large office building but it’s not really needed given the floor space on offer in the house.

The entrance hallway really sets the tone of what you will find in the rest of the house and is a room all of its own. It’s an ideal space to sit and relax with a good book or a coffee. Under the stairs is a useful opening, ideal for your pooch to sleep or for storage. To the left of the hallway, there is a flexible reception room which currently is being used as both an office and fitness space and equally it would be a great playroom.

At the bottom of the stairs to the right-hand side is a door which leads to a room that has been upgraded to a cinema room with a 120 inch screen , ideal for a movie night, watching the big match, or gaming on the big screen.

The kitchen family room in my opinion is nothing short of spectacular. The room is bathed in natural light from the windows to the left and the two sets of bi-folding doors to the right, perfect for summer entertaining. The horseshoe island unit encloses the booth-style seating and table and to me, this is a touch of genius. It’s both functional and only adds to the design and aesthetic of the space.

The rest of the kitchen is fitted with meticulous detail and has everything you would expect to find. The walk-in pantry is another superb addition to the kitchen. To the other end of the room, there is a feature wood panel wall with space for a television above. This wall conceals one of my favourite features of the house – a hidden lounge space.

The lounge again has dual-aspect windows and the Venetian plastered media wall with fire adds a touch of class to the space.

Back in the hall, a tasteful modern staircase carries you to the first floor. The picture window at the top of the landing perfectly frames the outdoors and the height of this area allows for a feature modern chandelier.

There is a split-level landing with two double bedrooms to the right-hand side, one of which is en-suite. Both rooms are dual aspect and consequently have lots of light.

Up to left-hand side the first room you come to is the family bathroom. The bathroom suite is high quality as is the tiling. There is both a bath as well as a walk-in shower with a feature shower screen catering for both a quick shower after a run or a long soak after a hard day at the office.

Then to the left, you find a further en suite dual aspect double bedroom. This room has feature wood panelling giving the room some character as well as a range of fitted wardrobes. You then continue on down the hallway which has windows along its length where you come to two further doors.

One leads to perhaps somewhat ironically is one of my favourite features of the house, the first-floor laundry room. To me, this just makes perfect sense so that all the washing can be done efficiently and precisely making life easy. To the right, there is a further en-suite bedroom with a picture window that frames and faces the garden.

Now at the end of the hall, we find the jewel in the crown of this home, the epic main bedroom. The first thing you will notice is the natural light flooding in from the near floor-to-ceiling window. Then your attention will be drawn left to the enviable walk-in dressing room. Painstakingly fitted with a range of storage and lighting options this room will no doubt be the envy of your friends. All of that is before we enter the en suite bathroom to the right-hand side which was led by design whatever was needed to achieve this.

I say this because the beautiful floor-to-ceiling tiles needed to be brought into the room via the window opening and then fitted by a large team and it has all been worth it. The freestanding modern bath is positioned perfectly in front of the window so that you can watch the stars while relaxing and because the garden has complete privacy you are able to do this. There is also a walk-in shower cubicle with a rainfall shower head above and a floating his and hers sink with storage below and a mirror above. I can’t think of a better bathroom that I have seen recently.

The gardens wrap around the property and are completely enclosed by walls, mature hedges and trees on all sides. As far as gardens go there is something for everyone. Space to dine, ample parking, a large lawn area which will more than house the children’s toys and there is a range of feature lighting on the external of the building.

After alluding to the fact, I might struggle to describe this home seemingly that’s not the case as there is so much on offer.

Don’t just take my words for it come and have a look at this impressive home.
