"We have happily lived at our home in Illustrious Close for 35 years, creating many special memories over the years which we will treasure. What first attracted us to the area was the location in respect of the ample local amenities on offer, together with a primary school situated a short walk from the house. The bus routes to secondary schools are situated a few minutes’ walk away and this allowed our children the choice as they grew older to eventually travel to school independently.  Our home has developed as the family have expanded, giving each family member their own space, but with ample communal areas for family gatherings.

The front garden has been adapted, as our family has grown and the need for off road parking was required, with a sectioned green space taking centre stage for our favourite plants. The rear garden has seen many changes over the years where it is now split onto three distinctive areas. The bottom section closest to the house affords an area for alfresco dining in the summer months. The middle section has been laid to artificial lawn for ease of maintenance with a small patio area, ideal for an early evening drink whilst watching the children play in a safe environment. The top section is block paved and affords another seating area which is great for catching that early morning sun.

Our special memory of this house is the association with the name Illustrious. From an early age our children were capable of spelling this word, as often people have misspelt it but constantly tell us what a delightful name it is for a road. It being named after HMS Illustrious. Our son eventually served on that actual ship, during his time in the Royal Navy, this has become a topic of amusing conversation over the years.

We are both now retiring and wish to relocate to be near to our grandchildren."
