Heathfield is a student hall of residence with a difference. We provide the facilities of halls accommodation at a price more closely aligned to the shared house market. The acommodation is spacious and the generous communal facilities foster the spirit of friendly community that is at the heart of what Heathfield offers.
We welcome both home and international students, studying at NUA, UEA and other institutions, at various stages of study and from different disciplines. We aim to enable our student residents to build lasting and enriching friendships.
Heathfield stands in 1.4 acres of private grounds. It has 44 rooms in flats of 6-8 rooms, each with: 32 sq m kitchen/living room; fully fitted well equipped kitchen (including microwave, toaster, kettle); 2 WCs; 2 spacious showers; Flat B has an accessible shower and wheelchair-accessible sink and hob in the kitchen, and Flat D is a women-only flat.
Every room has a washbasin with shaver point and mirror, generous storage space, a single bed, full-length mirror, a large desk and a noticeboard.
The building is wheelchair accessible throughout. It has a lift. Flat B is an accessible flat with wet room shower and accessible kitchen facilities.
Heathfield offers 24/7 management; maintenance issues are addressed promptly; kitchens and showers cleaned weekly; onsite security and pastoral support.
Laundry facilities include washing machines and tumble dryer (tokens bought from Reception); outside drying lines and an airing cupboard. An iron and ironing board are available free of charge.
Spaces are available (£12/month) in our well-lit car park, and Heathfield offers secure bicycle storage (free to residents). A guest room is available for hire.
