This site is a brown field site it was a former opencast coal site and is adjacent to junction 6 on the M8 Motorway, it is also mid way between Glasgow and Edinburgh, we have had discussions with the planners re a park and ride on the site. We have spoken with Alex Neal the SNP transport and infrastructure minister who also would give it his blessing. The site for the park and ride would take up approx 20 acres and hold 2500 cars, @ £3.00 per car per day. There would be a bus station built on site and that would be rented to the bus operating company, that would leave approx 27 acres which could be developed into Burger kings, Frankie and Bennys, Travel Lodge, Five a Side football. There will be no options on the land and no deals subject to planning.
