Creagdhu Cottage is located in an area of dramatic natural scenic beauty in Glen Croe in the beautiful Ardgarten Forest.

The cottage is set right on the edge of the river Croe and from the front there are views out to the southern side of the Cobbler which is the rugged peak that dominates the Arrochar district.

Creagdhu cottage is hidden away in a woodland clearing off a forestry track about 0.75 miles away from the Ardgarten Forestry visitor centre.


The gardens are made up of a level area of grass in front of the cottage, a gravel surfaced driveway from the forest track leads via exposed natural rocky outcrops to a hard standing area in front of the cottage. The gardens are fringed by the river Croe and coniferous woodland. The river Croe at the foot of the garden, fed by Loch Long, carries Salmon and Sea Trout.
