Whatever the season, we can always be assured the house will provide a warm welcome and it really comes to life during the spring and summer, when friends and family descend upon us for days by the sea.
It is a superb home for entertaining, having masses of rambling accommodation, providing plenty of space for family and friends to spread themselves around. We are never short of visitors as one can literally walk to the beach in less than a minute and then stroll along the sea front into the town centre, which has many friendly pubs and restaurants. This is when our annexe becomes so useful as a place where guests can stay and enjoy their own privacy without disrupting the rest of house.
One of our favourite rooms is the garden room, it is such a versatile space, where we tend to spend much of our time relaxing and enjoying the garden. It really is a lovely room, full of sunlight from mid morning to late evening with French doors opening onto our sun trap terrace. It is a perfect secluded spot for alfresco meals and watching spectacular sunsets. We are fortunate to have such a large garden so close to town and have cultivated it in a way that requires minimal maintenance, whilst rewarding us with a pleasant cottage style vista of plants and shrubs.
