At dusk magnificent orange sunsets can often be viewed and it is at this time of day when all manner of wading birds and waterfowl inhabit the shoreline. In the distance the Purbeck Hills are clearly visible, forming part of the Jurassic Coast with its breath-taking scenery and spectacular coastal walks.

However, beach lovers may prefer to wake up to the sound of waves breaking on the shoreline in bedroom two and this stretch of beach is potentially one of the most picturesque available anywhere in the UK. In the summer months one could take a morning stroll along the famous Blue Flag beaches down to one of the nearby cafes or eateries.
