Nether Oldhall is located in pretty East Ayrshire countryside close by the village of Dunlop. There are also main line railway stations at Stewarton (3.9 miles), Kilwinning (7 miles) and Irvine (11 miles). Travelling further afield is also made easy by access to the international airports of Prestwick (16 miles) and Glasgow (16 miles).

As with much of Scotland, one is never too far from a golf course and Nether Oldhall is no exception with Ayrshire having one of the highest concentrations of local inland parkland courses with some of the internationally renowned links courses at the coast. The area is well served by outdoor and country pursuits with numerous local fishing, shooting and stalking opportunities.
