Buckinghamshire is renowned for its choice and standard of schooling and is one of the last counties to maintain the traditional grammar school system. For details of current secondary school catchment areas, please visit.
Private schools available in Beaconsfield include Davenies for boys and High March for girls.
Tide is a most appealing detached family house constructed of brick and timber elevations under a gabled and dormer clay tile roofline. Set back from the road with an in and out drive the high laurel hedge and solid oak double gates at each entrance provide privacy. The bonded gravel drive curves in front of the house and its double garage. There is a cobbled area for parking.
A wide door opens into the reception hall notable for its curved staircase and open aspect through the property and onto the large level lawned garden. Tide has been the subject of significant improvement during the last four years. The property boasts stone floors with under floor heating throughout the ground floor, oak joinery, oak doors, skirting boards and architraves which compliment the glazed walls and doors leading from both room to room and inside to outside. The drawing room is separated from the study by a glazed wall with a sophisticated electronic system which allows you to alter the status from clear glass to opaque glass at the flick of a switch. At the centre of this glazed wall stands a gas fireplace with an open hearth serving both the study and the drawing room. Glazed doors lead from the drawing room onto the garden and bespoke bookcases run along one wall and continue in the study. Across the hall stands the large kitchen / breakfast room with its excellent range of maple full height cupboards and floor units topped with granite work surface. Glazed doors open into the family / play room with its half glazed roof line and fully glazed wall opening onto the garden. This room forms a focal point for Tide and has double doors leading into the reception hall, drawing room, kitchen/breakfast room and the sitting room as well as glazed doors onto the garden.
The large sitting room is used as a play room and its proximity next to the kitchen / breakfast room and the family means it is an important area for family life. The dining room is at the front of the house and has a bay window overlooking the front garden and drive. A valuable addition to the ground floor living is a large master or guest / family bedroom suite. The bedroom has a double aspect with views of the garden. At one end the dressing area with bespoke wardrobes with inlaid joinery lead into the en suite shower room. The ground floor also provides the utility room and plant room as well as a cloakroom just off the reception hall. A small lobby off the reception hall has stairs which lead to the gym / media room. This room is a lower ground floor room and has been constructed to be used as either a home cinema / media room or as presently arranged a gym with en suite shower room. From here a door leads to the wine store.
The first floor has a landing running through the centre of the house with the master bedroom suite occupying the whole of the western end of Tide. A magnificent inlay marketry floor is complimented by extensive built in cupboards and drawers in the dressing room and the well appointed en suite bathroom with its Jacuzzi bath, large shower and marble facing. There are further four bedrooms on the first floor, one of which is currently arranged as a dressing room with further en suite dressing room beautifully appointed with bespoke wardrobes.
The second floor provides a large office / studio with built in maple cupboards, drawers and a desk. There is access to attic space and useful storage. This floor also provides a delightful bedroom with en suite bathroom.
The large rear garden offers a terrace which borders the southern elevation of Tide. There is a low stone wall with central steps which lead up to the large level lawn. A fir tree stands at the centre and colourful perennial beds run along the western boundary. A further area of garden stands behind a high beech hedge. Arranged with an all weather rubber play surface this area provides a children's adventure and play area. There are fruit trees and a summer house.
