Located on the Glamorgan Heritage coast, Southerndown beach is a fantastic spot and popular with local surfers. It's got a large beach and huge cliffs to explore as well as gardens and a wooded area with picnic tables. You can walk up onto the site where Dunraven Castle used to be (it was demolished in 1963) and explore the large gardens which still remain. In keeping with other historical landmarks in the area, it's also got plenty of ghost stories to keep you on your toes if you choose to camp here.


Porthcawl is a town on the south coast of Wales in the County Borough of Bridgend. It is a holiday resort and home to a large static caravan park known as Trecco Bay. It has an extensive promenade and several beaches, two of which are Blue Flag beaches: a tourist-oriented beach at Trecco Bay at the east end of the town and a sandy beach at Rest Bay, which lies to the northwest of the town. There is also the quiet and sandy Pink Bay leading out towards Sker Point. There are many hotels and guest houses as well as a funfair called Coney Beach.


Ogmore-by-Sea is a seaside village in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. The beaches look out on Tusker Rock and have sand at low-tide and sharp rocks at high-tide.
