About Developer

The Wrekin Housing Trust is a registered social landlord, established in 1999 when over 13,000 homes were transferred from Telford & Wrekin Council - the country's largest transfer of homes at that time.

We are a non-profit making organisation that provides quality homes at an affordable rent. We are registered with a government body called the Tenant Services Authority (which used to be known as the Housing Corporation) as a registered social landlord. The Tenant Services Authority will only register organisations which they believe will behave responsibly and effectively and they monitor our work.
In April 2001, we moved into purpose built accommodation. Built on a brownfield site in Old Park, Telford, the office and warehouse facilities have brought about substantial cost savings as all operations moved from previously rented accommodation to a single site.
In 2002, we undertook a reorganisation separating the management of all our homes into one of three geographical area teams and the supported housing team. The three area teams are the East team, comprising the Newport, Oakengates and Donnington areas, the West team comprising Dawley, Hadley and Wellington and the South team comprising Stirchley, Madeley and Brookside.
With a network of local Shops and Estate Offices our employees are located within the geographical areas in which they work allowing us to provide local accessible services.
