The team is led by Jonathan Searles, who has practiced in the residential sales market for over twenty years’: ten of which have been spent with Ashtons. Jonathan initially worked in the North London and Docklands area before specialising for the last fifteen years in Hertfordshire, building long term relationships with house builders and developers alike.
Working alongside Jonathan are Giles Hastings, Louise Harrod, Verity Stuart-Thompson and Jane Riley, all of whom bring a wealth of experience to the department.
Giles, a member of the Royal Institute of Town Planning, initially worked for a number of national housebuilders before applying his many years of knowledge into specialising in the Hertfordshire area. Since joining Ashtons Giles has become a great asset to the L&NH team bringing over 10yrs experience in planning and land acquisition. Working closely with local authorities, planners and an extensive network of contacts he has managed to bring a number of sites together where others have failed.
Louise and Verity both joined Ashtons as Viewing Guides, and having gained expertise joined the Land and New Homes Department as Sales Associates. Louise has built excellent professional relationships with developers and has a passion for going that extra mile for her clients. Verity has a wealth of sales progression experience and a strong understanding of the home buying process. Her transparent approach is always appreciated and many have complimented her on her cheery disposition. They both enjoy working with clients to oversee a successful journey to home ownership, from the instruction of a site to the handing over of keys. Both have worked on some of the most impressive high profile New Home developments in the County.
Jane joined the Department in January of this year to take care of the administration for the Land and New Homes Department. Since joining the team she has been looking at ways to streamline the administrative processes and also develop a planning timeline to add value to the department.
We identify potential sites and propose the most suitable development scheme providing both commercial and financial advice. We work closely with planning consultants, conservation specialists and highway advisors to achieve the best outcome.
