Managing Director Michael Firmin has been an estate agent for over 30 years, initially gaining experience in the North London area with a corporate estate agent. From a junior position he climbed through the ranks to Area Sales Director level, controlling up to twelve branch offices. The decision to go it alone was taken in 1993.
Sales Manager, Brian Cardozo, has over 25 years experience in the North London area. He joined Brien Firmin at its inception in 1993, and through his high standards of customer care has helped build a business based on recommendations from satisfied clients.
The Lettings and Property Management department has a dedicated team of lettings sale staff and management administrators who offer a level of customer service second to none. We act for over 150 Landlords in the British Isles and abroad, many of whom have remained loyal to the company for over 20 years.

We will of course reference your tenants for affordability, employment and credit worthiness. We use major companies such as Endsleigh Insurance Services, Experian and Homelet to provide referencing, credit check and insurance services for our landlords.
However, choosing the right tenants is about more than just their financial status. We have met hundreds of tenants over the years and we believe we are excellent at judging who will be the right tenant for you. BUILDING MANAGEMENT SERVICE:
Many of our landlords own investment property on a long terms basis and after a number of years more major improvements are required such as new kitchens, bathrooms, central heating systems, electrical installations and exterior repairs. This is time consuming and awkward for landlords to deal with, especially if they live abroad. Brien Firmin are able to arrange, supervise and manage more extensive property repairs and refurbishments on your behalf via our qualified and experienced contractors. Once you have found a property and we have agreed terms between you and the landlord you will be required to pay a non refundable administration fee per tenant, (details available on request), together with a holding deposit of at least 2 weeks rent which is also non-refundable. This holding deposit will be put towards your security deposit on the day you move in. We will then assist you with your referencing application forms, which can be completed on line. Once they are submitted the referencing company will carry out a credit check and contact your referees including your employer or accountant and previous landlord if applicable. Occupation of the property is subject to all references being satisfactory. Please note that you may be required to pay towards a professional inventory, check-in and check out service.
