      We are members of The London Office which provides us with a central London base to display and hold particulars of properties for sale. The office is manned by experienced agents and is situated in St James' Place just off St James'. From time to time we hold exhibitions either at the London office or at the Move to the Country Show when members of staff from our local offices meet buyers from the capital and home counties.

    Buying Through Us

      Initial contact with us will usually be via a website, over the phone or in person at one of our nine offices. You can continue to get up-to-date lists of available properties on an ad hoc basis but you may prefer to register with us. This will allow us to send you details of properties just as they come to the market or when prices are revised.

      Our applicant database is web-based and shared instantly across all nine offices so that you need only sign-up once to be matched with any property that fits your requirements.

      You can register, update your details and requirements or de-register through this website. You will receive notification of new properties via e-mail and can download full colour particulars from your web portfolio.

      Alternatively, you can also register by contacting one of our offices where a member of staff will take your details and discuss the current market and properties available with you. We endeavour to get all staff to see the property but, where this has not been possible, someone who has seen it can ring you back.

      If any property is of interest please contact the relevant office to discuss it further and to make arrangements for a viewing.

      Once you make an offer it will be submitted in writing to the vendors. The staff will need to collect personal details from you, if not already known, such as the position of your own sale and availability of finance.

      We will advise you of the outcome of any offer. Once an offer is accepted, we will notify your solicitors at the same time as the vendors. Because agents can speak to both buyers' and sellers' solicitors we will keep in touch with you during the sale process with updates, up to the point at which contracts are exchanged .

      Following exchange of contracts we will liaise with you and the vendor about the hand over of keys at completion. This usually takes place in our office but with planning a member of staff may be able to meet you at the property.

      Jeremy Smith - Regional  Manager

      It is fair to say that Jeremy has estate agency in his blood as his father, Frank Smith, is a founder member of the Dorset estate agency Fortnum Smith and Banwell. Jeremy started his own career in 1987 with Yeovil based estate agents R B Taylor & Sons before moving to Connells in December 1992. He worked his way through to Area Partner level looking after eight branches in Bristol before moving back to Yeovil to take his Connells branch into the top ten in the Connells group in 2006.

      After 20 years with Connells Jeremy decided he required a new adventure and was thrilled to join our team in Beaminster as he has strong connections with the area; his parents have lived in Broadwindsor for thirty years. Outside of selling lots of property Jeremy's main passion is fishing and he has travelled all over the world in pursuit of quarry and his other main interest is Arsenal Football Club where he is a regular at the Emirates.

      Kate Wiscombe - Negotiator
      Kate joined our successful Beaminster team in May 2013 and has proved to be a popular and successful individual. Kate initially cut her teeth working for Jeremy in Clifton, Bristol with Connells estate agents and subsequently gained further experience with two other independent estate agents, one in Bristol and one in Dorchester bringing a further decade of estate agency knowledge to our already highly experienced team. On leaving Bristol, Kate relocated to Dorset where she now lives in Loders with her husband Paul, the landlord of the popular Anchor Inn at Seatown, and two children. In her spare time (if she has any) Kate also enjoys travel, hiking and socialising with friends

      Caroline Childs - Senior Negotiator
      Caroline joined Symonds & Sampson in July, 2014. She has lived locally all her life and currently lives in Mosterton with her partner. Historically her career has been built around art and soft furnishings where she has run her own very successful business for a number of years. She was working for a corporate estate agent in a small town within a few miles of Yeovil and felt that a move to an independent estate agent would be beneficial to her career and we were delighted when she joined us here in Beaminster.

      Jane Crabb - Residential Assistant
      Jane has been involved in estate agency for almost 30 years with Symonds & Sampson and formerly Peter Brook and has seen many changes in the housing market over the past three decades. Highly regarded within the community, Jane has been a member of Beaminster Young Farmers' for over thirty years and is currently on the advisory committee and has held such responsible positions as chairperson. Having lived on the family farm in Melplash she has recently moved into Beaminster. Jane's hobbies include gardening, photography, watching sporting events, listening to music and attending various shows.

      Lucy grew up in North Devon and moved to Dorset in 2005 to live with her now husband Rob. She started working with Symonds & Sampson the same year as PA to the then head of lettings in Dorchester. She obtained her ARLA qualification in 2007 and a year later was promoted to manager of the Bridport lettings office and has recently expanded the department to cover Beaminster as well. Having celebrated a whole decade of working for Symonds & Sampson, Lucy says she very much enjoys the diversity that working in lettings brings.
