Last year most property sales in West Midlands involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £256,042. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £207,482, while detached properties fetched £441,808.
West Midlands, with an overall average price of £276,445, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby East Midlands (£262,805), but was more expensive than North West (£241,559) and cheaper than South West (£360,028). The priciest area within West Midlands was Warwickshire (£343,700) and the least expensive was Staffordshire (£240,126).
During the last year, sold prices in West Midlands were 3% down on the previous year and similar to 2021 when the average house price was £269,767.
