Last year most property sales in Burnopfield involved terraced properties which sold for on average £112,895. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £122,869, while detached properties fetched £228,218.
Burnopfield, with an overall average price of £141,296 was more expensive than nearby Stanley (£98,823) and Ouston (£127,687), but was cheaper than Ryton On Tyne (£185,722).
During the last year, sold prices in Burnopfield were 4% down on the previous year and similar to 2007 when the average house price was £143,054.
