Last year most property sales in Chagford involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £288,125. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £233,833, while detached properties fetched £438,500.
Chagford, with an overall average price of £277,941 was more expensive than nearby Okehampton (£187,457), but was cheaper than Dartmoor (£299,154) and Bovey Tracey (£313,556).
During the last year, sold prices in Chagford were 23% down on the previous year and 44% down on 2014 when the average house price was £492,074.
