Last year most property sales in Clayton involved detached properties which sold for on average £238,089. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £163,346, while terraced properties fetched £127,442.
Clayton, with an overall average price of £191,466 was more expensive than nearby Stoke-On-Trent (£133,672) and Newcastle Under Lyme (£159,274), but was cheaper than Trentham (£218,642).
During the last year, sold prices in Clayton were 5% up on the previous year and 9% up on 2015 when the average house price was £175,687.
