Last year most property sales in Coniston involved terraced properties which sold for on average £254,667. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £313,333, while flats fetched £149,000.
Coniston, with an overall average price of £260,773 was more expensive than nearby Lake District (£233,127), but was cheaper than Hawkshead (£640,000) and Ambleside (£303,830).
During the last year, sold prices in Coniston were 12% down on the previous year and 31% down on 2011 when the average house price was £375,821.
