Most of the sales in Dalston over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £327,593. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £188,420 and terraced properties averaged at £188,806.
Dalston, with an overall average price of £235,262 was more expensive than nearby Carlisle (£136,099), Wigton (£166,719) and Bolton Low Houses (£137,667).
In the past year house prices in Dalston were 6% up on the year before and 9% down on 2008 when they averaged at £259,595.
