Most of the sales in Dalston over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £191,102. Detached properties had an average sold price of £303,545 and semi-detached properties averaged at £188,270.
Dalston, with an overall average price of £231,330 was more expensive than nearby Carlisle (£131,153), Wigton (£157,125) and Bolton Low Houses (£40,500).
In the past year house prices in Dalston were 4% up on the year before and 11% down on 2008 when they averaged at £259,595.
