Most of the sales in Escrick over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £436,000. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £197,750 and semi-detached properties averaged at £161,000.
Escrick, with an overall average price of £380,954 was more expensive than nearby Riccall (£233,845), Wheldrake (£312,463) and Bishopthorpe (£313,572).
In the past year house prices in Escrick were 29% up on the year before and similar to 2014 when they averaged at £373,689.
