Most of the sales in Escrick over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £411,072. Flats had an average sold price of £171,222 and terraced properties averaged at £200,750.
Escrick, with an overall average price of £300,341, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Wheldrake (£298,248), but was more expensive than Riccall (£232,345) and Bishopthorpe (£272,897).
In the past year house prices in Escrick were 5% down on the year before and 19% down on 2009 when they averaged at £372,437.
