Hawkshead, with an overall average price of £640,000 was more expensive than nearby Coniston (£260,773), Bowness-On-Windermere (£349,282) and Windermere (£376,299).
During the last year, sold prices in Hawkshead were similar to the previous year and 40% up on 2007 when the average house price was £458,376.
