Most of the sales in Kendal over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £177,999. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £209,844 and flats averaged at £160,223.
Kendal, with an overall average price of £208,809 was more expensive than nearby Milnthorpe (£154,780), but was cheaper than Windermere (£333,649) and Bowness-On-Windermere (£335,475).
In the past year house prices in Kendal were similar to the year before and 9% up on 2008 when they averaged at £192,380.
