Last year most property sales in Lynton involved terraced properties which sold for on average £210,009. Flats sold for an average price of £185,314, while detached properties fetched £319,360.
Lynton, with an overall average price of £227,754 was more expensive than nearby Lynmouth (£189,750) and Ilfracombe (£182,109), but was cheaper than Combe Martin (£247,098).
During the last year, sold prices in Lynton were 11% up on the previous year and 19% down on 2006 when the average house price was £280,921.
