Most of the sales in Marple over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £270,929. Detached properties had an average sold price of £415,786 and terraced properties averaged at £196,477.
Marple, with an overall average price of £285,690 was more expensive than nearby Romiley (£232,287) and Hazel Grove (£245,365), but was cheaper than Marple Bridge (£345,851).
In the past year house prices in Marple were 8% up on the year before and 14% up on 2015 when they averaged at £249,879.
