Most of the sales in Porthtowan over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £286,333. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £281,643 and terraced properties averaged at £193,917.
Porthtowan, with an overall average price of £263,012 was more expensive than nearby Portreath (£239,955) and Illogan (£205,407), but was cheaper than St. Agnes (£366,132).
In the past year house prices in Porthtowan were 33% up on the year before and 6% down on 2008 when they averaged at £279,313.
