Last year most property sales in Ribchester involved terraced properties which sold for on average £160,875. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £292,500, while detached properties fetched £500,000.
Ribchester, with an overall average price of £218,179, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Mellor (£222,802) and Wilpshire (£213,795), but was more expensive than Longridge (£197,755).
During the last year, sold prices in Ribchester were 7% down on the previous year and 25% down on 2008 when the average house price was £289,250.
