Last year most property sales in Sandal involved detached properties which sold for on average £308,245. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £155,016, while terraced properties fetched £112,382.
Sandal, with an overall average price of £195,388 was more expensive than nearby Wakefield (£158,868), but was cheaper than Walton (£220,201) and Newmillerdam (£239,757).
During the last year, sold prices in Sandal were 3% up on the previous year and 7% down on 2009 when the average house price was £209,096.
