Last year most property sales in Sandal involved detached properties which sold for on average £337,289. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £157,780, while terraced properties fetched £114,420.
Sandal, with an overall average price of £212,477 was more expensive than nearby Wakefield (£163,805), but was cheaper than Walton (£231,556) and Newmillerdam (£284,367).
During the last year, sold prices in Sandal were 13% up on the previous year and similar to 2009 when the average house price was £209,096.
