Last year most property sales in Upper Shirley involved flats which sold for on average £251,802. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £450,746, while detached properties fetched £836,750.
Upper Shirley, with an overall average price of £365,208, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Addiscombe (£349,631), but was more expensive than Croydon (£328,162) and cheaper than Shirley (£388,560).
During the last year, sold prices in Upper Shirley were similar to the previous year and 8% up on 2009 when the average house price was £337,626.
