Last year most property sales in Wem involved detached properties which sold for on average £219,412. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £151,979, while terraced properties fetched £134,244.
Wem, with an overall average price of £182,068 was more expensive than nearby Whitchurch (£157,753), but was cheaper than Shawbury (£192,102) and Baschurch (£294,730).
During the last year, sold prices in Wem were 9% up on the previous year and similar to 2008 when the average house price was £183,877.
