Latest statistics from digital marketing intelligence company ‘comScore’ reveal that the average UK home-hunter spends close to an hour using Rightmove each month - more than twice as long as the second highest property website!
The statistics were measured during the month of April and reveal an interesting insight into levels of home-hunter engagement with the UK’s top four property websites. comScore found that the average visitor
spent 53 minutes engaging with Rightmove, significantly ahead of the 21 minutes spent browsing second highest site.
Rightmove director Miles Shipside comments: “These numbers are an important measure of online user behaviour. The Rightmove website doesn’t just receive greater numbers of home-hunters, but those home-hunters are spending far longer in front of Rightmove member agents’ properties, brands and expertise.”
The length of time being spent on Rightmove is amplified further by the number of unique visitors the website receives. comScore measured that, collectively, UK home-hunters hours spend over 5 million hours on Rightmove each month – six times longer than second highest property website.

The only reason I spend an hour on rightmove is because I spend all of my time looking for a place of decent quality to rent without needing to pay more than what I would if I bought a house. The quality of rental accommodation in Cardiff is very low; granted, most flats are considered as ‘doss houses’ my most, but some places advertised look like terrible places

Surely a good measure by which to measure performance would the least time a user has to browse the site to find their property than the longest?
The aim of the game should be an efficient search, not a prolonged one!
