OWNERS INSIGHT

"We took on a challenge when we bought the property as a traditional three bedroom dated bungalow, but could see the potential. Plans were drawn, and the professional builders were brought in to excavate the garden level and extend to provide us with the home we envisaged. We spend a great deal of our time in the family room with either the log burner lit in the winter, or the doors wide open in the summer making the garden an extension to the space. We planned it so the kitchen bar worked as a relaxation or entertainment space whether inside, or outside enjoying the garden. Now we have supposedly started retirement, we have taken a step back and felt it is a sensible time to downsize, although we do not wish to move from the location. Our family business is nearby, our granddaughter goes to school locally, and everything we could need is either within a reasonable walk or short drive."
