Oliver James started as a two person company from a small serviced office in central Huntingdon before moving to an office on Princes Street and then latterly 1 George Street in Huntingdon after the acquisition of Pennington Properties in 2020. Founded by Peter Lane and wife Denise, the company was set up in 1990 by Peter, Denise and Roger Stoneman.

Huntingdon, was until 1974, the principal town of the old county of Huntingdonshire. Today it is a thriving East Anglian market town situated 18 miles north west of Cambridge at the junction of the A14 and the A1 main trunk roads. Huntingdon is also served by the main line route from London Kings Cross to Scotland and is situated on the river Great Ouse.

Huntingdon is twinned with Salon de Provence, France, Werteim am Main, Germany and Szentendre, Hungary.

The most famous son of Huntingdon, Oliver Cromwell lived his early years at Hinchingbrooke House now incorporated within Hinchingbrooke Secondary School. Another famous character was the colourful politician, the 4th Earl of Sandwich who was the inventor of everybody's snack - 'the sandwich'.

There are many popular areas of attraction from tranquil walks by the river Great Ouse and Grafham Water to Country Parks, Golf Courses and Fitness Studios. An enjoyable day out can also be had at Huntingdon Racecourse.

Ramsey's origins date back to the building of the abbey in 969. The abbey and surrounding land has been associated with the likes of the Cromwell family and whilst the original abbey can now be seen as ruins, the manor house that was built was converted in 1938 to a school and is still used as such to date.

Known as the capital of the Huntingdonshire Fens, Ramsey is a small market town providing many modern leisure facilities. The sports centre offers a swimming pool, multi-purpose sports hall, tennis courts and a fitness suite. Also available locally to the public is an 18 hole golf course and a 9 hole golf course. The town also has a library, dentist surgery, two health centres, hairdressers, health and beauty salons, community hall and a variety of bars, restaurants and eating places.

Situated in a stunning location on the north bank of the river Great Ouse is the historic market town of St Ives.

There is a fantastic guided bus route from St Ives to Cambridge providing quick and easy access to Cambridge Science Park , the City centre and Addenbrookes Hospital.

The town offers a variety of features including an unusual river bridge (dating back to the 15th Century), with a midstream chapel and a maze of little lanes and alleyways typical of an old market town.

St Ives offers both primary and secondary schooling and also benefits from a wide variety of shops, services, clubs and societies which cater for almost every sport, hobby and interest.

St Neots is the largest town in Cambridgeshire (as distinct from the cities of Cambridge and Peterborough) with a population of approximately 30,000 inhabitants.

It stands on the river Great Ouse at what could be legitimately be described as the 'Crossroads of East Anglia' formed by the A1 north/south trunk road and the east/west A428 which services the busy east coast ports to Europe.

In recent times the town has undergone considerable expansion with modern housing development surrounding the historic heart, which still has many fine period buildings particularly around the Market Square. Shopping needs are adequately met with several large supermarkets, many High Street retail names plus local specialist stores and services including banks and building societies.

St Neots has a broad range of professional facilities including a major sports centre and swimming pool, as well as a multi purpose social/art/theatre facility called the Priory Centre.
