Last year most property sales in East of England involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £388,335. Detached properties sold for an average price of £552,504, while terraced properties fetched £338,043.
East of England, with an overall average price of £394,734 was more expensive than nearby East Midlands (£262,805), but was cheaper than London (£706,159) and South East (£468,712). The priciest area within East of England was Hertfordshire (£535,157) and the least expensive was Norfolk (£302,638).
During the last year, sold prices in East of England were 4% down on the previous year and similar to 2021 when the average house price was £386,235.
