Most of the sales in Suffolk over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £454,591. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £283,325 and terraced properties averaged at £242,388.
Suffolk, with an overall average price of £323,537, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Norfolk (£328,838), but was cheaper than Essex (£419,862) and Cambridgeshire (£374,240). The most expensive area within Suffolk was Southwold (£764,063) and the cheapest was Brandon (£215,094).
In the past year house prices in Suffolk were 4% down on the year before and 5% down on 2022 when they averaged at £341,033.
